1. Long-Term Cost Saving Because of the thermal properties of a light weight steel building you will save money on utility bills the whole year-round. Cool in summer and insulated in winter our light-weight steel technology offers great savings on things such as heating bills and the need for cooling systems in the warmer months. 2. Eco-Friendly The lack of foundation preparation needed to support a light weight steel building results in less water consumption and need for heavy machinery during construction. It is also over time a much more environmentally friendly building option as these buildings have a light environmental footprint compared to more conventional 'bricks and mortar' methods of construction. 3. Precision Due to the precise software-designed nature of the various elements used to build a structure using light weight steel planning and accuracy is achievable down to the nearest millimeter. This not only makes for a great aesthetic finish but also safe-guards our clients from having to deal with any reworking/reforming of the structure during the build. 4. Pest & Fire Resistance Steel is pest resistant and has a much higher resistance to fire compared to conventional wooden beams often used in roofing of common structures. This greatly improves the safety rating of our buildings allowing developers to save on insurances and unnexpected costs later on. 5. Moisture Resistant Moisture can be a real problem in damp/humid areas especially within the coastal regions of Southern Africa. Our steel frame technology is totally moisture resistant guarding our structures from swelling, rot and surface-level aesthetic problems. 6. Recyclable Steel is one of the most recycled materials in the world. This makes our light steel frame buildings inherently one of the most eco-friendly and sustainable building options on the market today. This also offers the possibility to recoup some of your building costs decades later. 7. Faster Build Time We are able to plan ahead with more accuracy than what would usually be possible with a build using conventional materials. The lack of foundation preparation needed saves time by virtually eliminating geological issues, transporting and assembly is quick and the various elements arrive on site partly prefabricated. 8. Design Flexibility Because of the light-weight nature of this technology vertical builds and extensions are much less complicated due to the reduced need for any load-baring preparations during things like house renovations etc. Design of the structures is done on software that provides the client with much more flexibility which would simply not be possible using common building materials. This presents some very exciting aesthetic possibilities and unique approaches for architects to explore for our more discerning clients. 9. Hybrid Structures Light steel frame can be used in conjunction with traditional materials or pre-existing structures to create a seamlessly integrated structure. Check out our combined light-steel shipping container concept here. 10. Aesthetics & Exteriors The external finishing of a building built using light steel frame is very similar to that of a conventional building. However the advantages of using light weight steel is that due to the accuracy of the software-designed frames, corners and angles of the building are near perfect and will not shift or distort over time.

This is very timely. I think we are all just waiting for a volcanic eruption and a massive earthquake. We are not really doomsday or zombie apocalypse preppers but I have seen how people charge at one another when they are just hungry and I know we should prepare for the worse. Anyway these light weight materials have more chances of just dancing around should the earth shake a little too hard for humanity to handle. We will have more chances of survival. We just need to worry about unwanted guests then after the aftermath.

In the future, I will build such a pre-engineered steel house. Thanks for the post
